I wonder if anyone can help. There’s a book I used to own about fly fishing and I’m sorry to say I lent it or sold it or lost it or something. I can’t remember. I can’t find it anywhere now. I’ve looked in all the second hand bookshops and Waterstones say it’s out of print.

The author is J. R. Hartley. Can anyone help.

Some of my relatives introduced me to sudoku last month, and I am slowly learning.
However, I seem to run into problems when I get too involved. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve ended up with the same two figures throughout the puzzle in the wrong position, and that totally throws me out of the loop.
How can I know that I’m solving the puzzle correctly before I end up erasing the whole puzzle and starting over?
And does anyone recommend any books or puzzle books that may be better suited to a beginner? The one I have at the moment is the Sudoku Puzzles from the Puzzler books, which I know I can get in Canada, where I am, as I saw it in a bookshop two weeks ago. Maybe there’s something that’s aimed more at my (lack of) expertise?
